We have learned with deep sorrow that an earthquake has taken place today (2 July) in the Hormozgan Province in Iran.

We wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, extend our condolences first and foremost to the relatives of the deceased as well as to the friendly and neighborly people and the Government of Iran, and wish speedy recovery to the injured.
