Consul General Mustafa Ünal assumed his duty as the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Jeddah on 31st August 2023.

Ünal joined the foreign service of the Republic of Türkiye in 1992. He has previously held various ranks and titles at the Ministry in the Department of Archive and Transportation, the Department of Human Resources, the Deputy Directorate General forInternational Political Organizations and the Deputy Directorate General for Relations with Iraq.

He has also previously held various ranks and titles while he was posted overseas at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Manama, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in London, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Dublin, the General Consulate of the Republic of Türkiye in Hong Kong, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Nepido and the General Consulate of the Republic of Türkiye in Rotterdam.

He was born in 1966 in Konya and has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Middle East Technical University.

He is married and has three children.

He speaks fluent English.

For your consular procedures, you need to make an appointment by entering your Turkish ID number at "www.konsolosluk.gov.tr". (Acquiring Turkish ID card, passport, e-Government password and notification documents is done without any appointment.)
