We strongly condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated during a football match in Alexandria district of Babel Province in the south of Baghdad, which claimed the lives of dozens of people and injuring many others.

Subjected to the similar terrorist attacks of different terrorist organizations and losing many of its citizens recently, Turkey wholeheartedly shares the pain of the Iraqi people.

We wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, convey our condolences to their relatives and the people and Government of Iraq, and wish a speedy recovery to those who were wounded.

Turkey will continue to be in cooperation and solidarity with Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
